action with intention
The way we act in difficult moments can either be reactive (without prior thought or reflection) or intentional (involving prior thought and reflection). For me, every time I have paused and reflected on my goals and values in the midst of a challenge or heated moment, I am more likely to choose actions I look back on with pride and contentment (as opposed to regret and resentment). In this way, acting with intention over and over again is the pathway to becoming the person you are hoping to be.
