hi, i’m Amanda Noroña-Zhou.

I like to think of myself as a mental health mentor.

I am a psychologist with expertise in child development, women’s health, and parenting. I have been practicing since 2013. I’m also a science nerd: I have spent the last 15 years dedicated to the scientific research of how mental health develops and how to promote mental wellness. Lastly, I am a person who has reflected on and gained wisdom from my own experiences with anxiety, stress, and various life challenges. Through this blend of professional insight and personal understanding, I see myself as a mentor bringing curiosity, collaboration, and expertise to the spaces I hold for my clients.

  • I am 3rd generation Filipino American. 

  • I was born and raised in the SF Bay Area.

school + training

  1. I earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from UCLA.

  2. I completed additional training in Child Health Psychology at the University of Colorado Medical School.

  3. My postdoctoral fellowship (extra training after graduate school) focused on two-generation (caregiver-child) mental health.
